Ingredients
- Chick peas – 2 cups (soak overnight)
- Onion – 2
- tomato – 2
- Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Channa masala powder- 1 tsp
- Yogurt/curd – 1/4 cup
- Tamarind juice – 2 tsp
- Oil – 5 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Lemon juice – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
- 1 onion – for garnishing
Method
- Boil the soaked peas with little salt for 2 whistles and let it cool.
- Meanwhile, make nice paste with Onion, tomato and ginger garlic paste.
- Take a Kadai or pan, pour oil and paste and allow it to boil till the oil comes out.
- Now add the powders, salt, yogurt and tamarind juice(if you want more soar) and while it starts boiling, add the chick peas and boil for another 2 minutes and switch off the stove.
- Add the lemon juice and garnish with the onion and coriander leaves and serve hot.
