Step by step instructions to make the Oreo Popsicles
Now Lets see how to make the Oreo Popsicle with step by step instructions and a video for your easy understanding.
Boiling the milk
Add the milk in a milk pan. It is good to have the full cream milk for this purpose. If you dont have the full cream milk, you can use the normal one too.
Add the milk powder. For me, 2 tbsp is enough to give the creaminess which we need. But if you like your milk, to be more creamier, then you can add some more tablespoon of milk powder.
Let the milk boil for atleast 10 min in low to medium flame, so that It reduces its volume to 75 to 80%. (for eg., let it reduce in volume to 300 to 350ml)
once it is reduced, switch off the stove and cool down the milk completely. Keep the milk in fridge for some time and let it get chilled nicely.
Prepare the popsicles
Once the milk is chilled nicely, add 2 to 3 tbsp of sugar and mix well until sugar dissolves. You can use the sugar substitutes like – honey, palm sugar, jaggery or even dates.
Here I have used mini oreos. You can use normal sized oreos also.
Either you can crush them in to powder or break them into small pieces as I would like my oreos to be bit crunchy when I taste my popsicles.
Add the oreos till 3/4th of the popsicle mould.
Fill the chilled milk just to immerse the oreos biscuits. do not fill till the rim.
close the lids and freeze them for 6 to 8 hrs or freeze for overnight. I have freezed overnight.
Next day, remove the popsicle from the freezer.
Either dip the mould in luke warm water for 10 sec or show the moulds in the running water for 15 to 20 sec.
Slowly remove the popsicle from the moulds.
Cool cool Oreo Popsicle is ready to be served.
