I am a die hard fan of Potatoes… this Potato fry is as simple as that and I love this recipe from my childhood days. It tastes great when eaten with curd rice or just the potato fry itself… he he he.. I used to eat like that…
How to make Simple Potato Fry – No onion no garlic version
Ingredients
- Potato – 3 (cut into small pieces, mostly in square shaped)
- Mustard seeds – 1 pinch (optional)
- Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
- Coriander powder – 1/4 tsp
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Salt as per taste
Method
Wash the potato and keep ready.
Cut into small pieces as shown below. (If you want you can slightly remove the skin).
In a pan, add oil and when the oil is hot, add the potatos and start frying.
After 5 min, add the chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and turmeric powder.
Mix it well and Again fry for another 5 to 8 min.
When the potato becomes soft and crush-able by hand, switch off the flame.
Delicious side dish is ready.
