White sauce pasta with vegetables is really a rich and creamy dish which makes you full for the whole day. If you are looking for a recipe with pasta, with loads of veggies, creamy, cheesy and tasty, then this is the right dish for you.

This White sauce pasta with vegetables is a rich dish and after having this creamy tasty pasta, you will really feel very full.
Frequently I used to make the Aglio E Olio recipe with spaghetti, as my kids like them a lot and its very quick to make too. The second come this White sauce pasta with vegetables recipe.
Though it has more cheese, it also has lots of veggies like bell peppers, carrot, corn, peas etc. You can also add your own favorite veggies like potato, baby corn, mushrooms, broccoli and make it more healthier.
If your kids like cheese, you can top up the dish with ricotta cheese or cheddar cheese or Parmesan cheese.

Recipe to make the Pasta
Now Lets see how to make the White sauce pasta with vegetables with step by step instructions and a video for your easy understanding.
- Macroni pasta – 200 gms you can also use other variety of pasta
- water – enough water to cook
- salt – as required
- oil – 1 tbsp
- Butter – 1 to 2 tbsp room temperature
- All purpose flour/maida – 2 tbsp
- Milk – 1 cup
- Butter – 1/2 tbsp
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp
- garlic clvoes – 4 chopped finely
- onion – 1 small size chopped finely
- carrot – 2 tbsp
- sweet corn – 1 tbsp
- different colored bell peppers / capsicum – 1/4 cup each
- frozen green peas – 2 to 3 tbsp *check notes
- chilli flakes – 1 tsp
- salt – as needed
- pepper powder – 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
- mixed italian herbs – little
- oregano – little
- basil – little
- mozzarella cheese – 1/2 cup
- chilli flakes – little to sprinkle before serving
- Milk – 1/4 cup add only if needed

In a big pan, add enough water to cook pasta and add salt as required and oil.

To this add macroni pasta and cook until 90% only. Do not over cook as it may become soggy and break when added to the white sauce. You can also use any variety of pasta for this.

Once it is 90% cooked, filter water completely and keep aside.

In another pan, add butter and allow to melt completely.

Make the flame low, and add the all purpose flour / maida to this. Mix it thoroughly in butter. It gets thickened.

Once it gets thickened, add the milk and start to stir it continuously, so that no lumps are formed.

You can see that, the mixture gets thickened nicely. This is our white sauce. Keep it aside.

Now we need to cook the vegetables. For this, in another vessel, add butter and olive oil.

Add the finely chopped garlic and fry it in medium flame for a minute.

Include the finely chopped onion and saute it nicely till it becomes translucent.

Further, include the finely chopped carrots and sweet corns. Carrot and corns are added first, as it may take time to cook.

Once the carrot and sweet corn are cooked 50%, add the bell peppers. Try to add different colors of bell peppers, as it looks colorful and attract the kids.

Now I have added the frozen peas.

Check if the veggies are mostly cooked. Now add the chilli flakes, required salt, italian herbs like oregano and mixed herbs and basil. Mix well and cook for 2 to 3 min in low flame.

Include the prepared white sauce now. keep the flame low and cook it.

Mixture starts to thicken again. If the mixture becomes too thick, add 1/4 cup of milk. Now add the cooked pasta and mix well.

Add the mozzarella cheese and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes or until the cheese melts completely.

So cheesy, tasty, creamy pasta is ready to be served.

Check if the veggies are mostly cooked. Now add the chilli flakes, required salt, italian herbs like oregano and mixed herbs and basil. Mix well and cook for 2 to 3 min in low flame.
Include the prepared white sauce now. keep the flame low and cook it.
Mixture starts to thicken again. If the mixture becomes too thick, add 1/4 cup of milk. Now add the cooked pasta and mix well.
Add the mozzarella cheese and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes or until the cheese melts completely.
So cheesy, tasty, creamy pasta is ready to be served.
Serve the Tasty White Sauce Pasta with vegetables while it is still hot. mmmm.. yummy yummy..
Notes
- I have used the frozen green peas. if you are using normal peas, then cook well before and then add it.
- You can add you own favorite veggies, like broccoli, mushroom, babycorns etc.
- Do not reduce the amount of mozzarella cheese, as it gives a very nice taste to this dish.
- If you are on diet or weight loss, stay away from this dish.
