Take Thin Poha.

Soak thin poha for about 2 to 3 min only, else it becomes very soggy. Also instead of soaking, take a filter and add the poha. Now add the water for a min until all the poha are fully wet.

So now remove the poha and keep aside.

In a pan, add little peanuts and fry for a while. If you are having fried peanuts already, you can use them too.

Remove and keep aside.

In the same kadai or pan, add 2 tsp oil.

Add mustard, urud dal, channa dal and the fried peanuts.

Fry them again slightly.

Add the cumin seeds now and fry. This is added at a 2 to 3 min later, as the other dals need to be fried first.

Add the curry leaves and chilli and again fry them.

Include the onion now and saute them nicely.

Once the onion is fried for half, add the turmeric, salt and asafoetida.

Mix them nicely.

Now add in the sugar and mix.

Once the onion is sauted nicely, add the soaked flattened rice now.

Mix them nicely and cover and cook for 2 min only. No need to add any water, else it will become very soggy.

Add the lemon juice now, mix.

again cover and cook for 2 more min.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it.
