Frying the vada
  1. Heat enough oil for frying the vadai. Once the oil is hot, apply little oil in your palms and take a lemon sized portion from the batter and flatter it lightly.
  2. Now make a small hole in the middle of the batter to make it into vada shape.
  3. Now carefully drop the vada in to the hot oil. Be cautious at this stage and drop them slowly if you are a beginner.
  4. Drop some 3 to 4 vadai at a time and slightly rotate them for even frying.
  5. Fry them nicely, until it becomes light brown colour and crispy outside, as you can see in the below picture.
  6. Vadai turned out very crispy and light brown in color. Filter out the oil and remove it. If you find excess oil, filter the oil, in a kitchen towel or tissue.
